Mauriac – Craponne-sur-Arzon
(180,0 km)

Something like spring classics feelings, eh?

180 km long is the 2nd stage of the Critérium du Dauphine, and quite similar to the yesterday program, full with hills (category 2-4 climbs). The first, Côte de Moussages (4,0 km à 6,5%) starts after 7 km, and the last, Côte de Saint-Victor sur Arlanc (3,1 km à 9,4%) is at 18 km to go.

A stage most likely for a solo attack (again – I predicted the same for yesterday, but it didn’t happen), There are plenty of riders in the peloton with the capability of making the right move in the right moment.

The main favourites of the stage: Julian Alaphilippe, Philippe Gilbert (Deceuninck-Quick Step), Michał Kwiatkowski (INEOS), Wout van Aert (Jumbo-Visma), Alexey Lutsenko, Magnus Cort (Astana), Bjorg Lambrecht (Lotto-Soudal)
