Seven stages for eight days in Argentina.
Because of the participation of such cycling superstars like Peter Sagan (Bora-hansgrohe), Julian Alaphilippe and Remco Evenepoel (both Deceuninck-Quick Step) you might be surprised, that only six World Tour teams are going to attend the race. Besides the two mentioned before, Cofidis, Movistar, Israel Start Up Nation, and UAE Team Emirates send riders to Argentina.
The program contains a total of seven stages, five of them are meant for the sprinters. (Even Stage 4 with two 1st category ascents, but an almost 100 km ride to the finish line after the top of the second one.) Decisive stages in the battle for the General Classification will be
Stage 3
a 15,2 km long individual time trial
and Stage 5 (right after the rest day)
a mountain stage with a summit finish
