It was Duclos-Lassale second consecutive triumph at Paris-Roubaix. He is the oldest winner of the race (38 years, 7 months and 17 days)
He won the race 3 times, in 3 consecutive years (1909, 1910, 1911).
He was the part of the early break of a 13-man group. They escaped when it was still 222 km left. Only Demol and the second-placed Thomas Wegmuller could ride home
Unfortunately, Wout van Aert (Jumbo-Visma) had to finish his season in mid-July, during the Tour de France after a horror crash on the 13th stage (ITT). Nevertheless, he has a solid first half of the year with Wolrd Tour stage wins and podium places during the Spring Classics season.
The best part of the cycling season start Saturday: the cobbled classics are coming. These are the 12 riders I think we should focus during the period from Omloop Het Nieuwsblad (02.03) to Paris-Roubaix (14.04).
