8 April 1956 – Louison Bobet wins Paris-Roubaix

The king of Mont Ventoux was a successful classic rider.

He has won four of the five Monuments: Milano-Sanremo, and Giro di Lombardia (1951), Ronde van Vlaanderen (1955) and Paris-Roubaix (1956).  His best result at the Liege-Bastogne-Liege was a 4th place from 1952.)
