Giro d’Italia 2026 overview
Giro d'Italia returns to the part of Europe visited last year already. While in 2025, Albania was the host country for the first three stages of the race, in this May the destination of the peloton will be Bulgaria.
The 2026 edition of Giro d'Italia starts on 8 May and finishes on 31 May 2026.
As usual in the case of a Grande Partenza from a longer distance, there will be an additional rest day right after the third stage.
The first stage on Italian soil (stage 4) starts from Catanzaro (Calabria) and ends in Rome.
