Preview: Giro d’Italia 2019 – Stage 16
The organizers altered the route of this stage due to danger of avalanches. It means, that the legendary Gavia is out of the program, meanwhile two smaller climbs are in.
Neverteless, the main attraction of the stage remains the Morirolo
The stage after the second rest day used to be always full of surprise (just remember the same stage in 2015). I'm expecting at the end of the stage a big fight between the main contenders, I quess Simon Yates (Mitchelton-Scott) will try to change the game the hardest, meanwhile Richard Carapaz (Movistar) has to be very careful to save his pink jersey.
This is a good day for Vncenzo Nibali (Bahrain-Merida) too, or even Pavel Sivakov (INEOS) in the white jersey can show his strongness.
If it comes to a successfull breakaway, first of all Giulio Ciccone (Trek-Segafredo) is worth to mention and Fausto Masnada (Androni Giocattoli Sidermec).
