This was his first La Fleche Wallonne victory (the second one happened next year). He crossed the finish line before Gino Bartali and Jean Robic.

1951 was one of the most successful years in Kübler’s career, besides La Fleche Wallonne he also triumphed at Liege-Bastogne-Liege, Tour de Romandie, Tour de Suisse and the World Championship in Varese.
